LimeWire: is my P2P application of choice is fast clean and it has a quite large audience, I been using limewire for a couple of years and it always works fine for me. one thing I would advice if you install limewire though, is to uncheck the option to run at start up, limewire seem to be a memory hog application, so only open it when you need it, don’t leave it running all the time on your computer.
uTorrent the smallest torrent client out of there recently acquired by bittorrent.com is one of the best tools to download torrent files from the Internet, my torrent site of choice is www.isohunt.com you can find basically whatever you can think of on this torrent site, from music to e-books, applications etc. there are hundreds of torrent sites, one site that put together the most popular torrent sites out of there is www.torrentscan.com, be aware that these sites make their profit with advertisements though, and you will get pop-ups and contents not recommended for children sometimes.
if you are using Windows XP/Vista Firewall or any other Security Suite that has a firewall make sure uTorrent is on the exception group. uTorrent also has a feature to encrypt outgoing traffic, on your uTorrent program go to Options>Preferences select Bitorrent on the menu and right at the bottom under Protocol Encryption select Enable on the outgoing option and click OK.
