Pc Wizard 2009 is a computer hardware detection and analysis tool. You can download the free version from http://www.cpuid.com/pcwizard.php. The software scans all hardware components on your computer and generates a report with information about your hardware components.

Under hardware tab, you will see details about your computer’s hardware. It will scan and display system summary information which includes information about the main board, processor, video card, I/O ports, drives, printers, devices, network, power status etc.

The configuration tab display information and configuration settings of the computers operating system, internet tools, control panel, processes and services, fonts installed, startup items, installed programs, direct information, security settings, multimedia information, active controls, dot net assembly files and uptime statistics.

The system files tab shows information about your system files such as config.nt, boot.ini, autoexec.nt, win.ini, event logs and even cmos values.

The resources tab shows information about Interruption request (IRQ), direct memory access, I/O ports, memory resources, and network resource. The benchmark tab allows you to measure your computers performance. You can have a benchmark test of your processor, memory, video and directX performance, hard drive and MP# compression. You can also benchmark your windows performance index and your computers global performance.

You can also compare your systems performance with other predefined system or hardware by clicking the compare with button.

For users who wants to see what’s going on inside the hood of their computer, this tool is a recommendable freeware.  Not only does it detects your hardware, it can also do basic benchmarking.
