many times when using Windows Media Player to rip music the files are automatically extracted using the Microsoft proprietary audio file format WMA. This limit the files to be play only on windows media player, which is not good if you want to use the files on another media player like Itunes.
Switch, is a free converter that let you convert WMA files to MP3. actually, Switch can convert a large range of audio file formats. I used Switch to covert a couple of WMA files I had from a friend, but because I use a Itunes I could not play them. Now I do.
