Do you keep an up to date inventory of the equipment that is on your network? If you do the process manually, probably you don’t. Keeping a record of all the assets on your network is a pain in the neck, and normally takes time. There are many free and commercial software to automate the inventory process, but this particular software caught my attention, its a search engine for IT.
Paglo crawler is an open source search engine for networks. It probes the network for devices and other IT assets and discovers everything about them. The crawled data is then presented in a secure web account, where you can run reports and analyze your network. Features of paglo crawler:
Open source meaning anyone can download the source code and improve it
Totally free, as most open source software are
It can be extendable by using plugins
It deeps scan your network to find even the most hidden devices and present that data in an easy to read web account.
