After testing many online file storage, and collaborative tools I believe dropbox is the best I have stumbled upon so far. this software ( still in beta) brings file sharing and synchronization with multiple computers to the next level.
What does dropbox do:
- Synch files between computers
- store files online to for access from anywhere, using computer or cellphone
- work on the same files with coworkers or friends, keeping history of changes
- compatible with Windows, Linux and Mac
Dropbox gives you 2 GB of storage for free, with the option to upgrade to 50 GB for 9.99 dollars per month or 99.99 dollars per year.
Installation:
download dropbox and go through the easy installation wizard, at the very end, you will notice your icons from the desktop will disappear for a moment, that is normal, then you will be asked if you are new to dropbox, or if you already have account with them. choose I’m new to dropbox if you don’t have an account.
create the account.
you will receive the welcome wizard with an option to follow a tutorial, which you should if you are new.
after you finish with the wizard, you are brought the dropbox folders:
those Dropbox folder reside at “My Documents” and everything you put inside that folder, it gets synchronized over HTTPS ( secure socket) to dropbox servers.
there is a lot more you can do with dropbox.

Hi Neslon. Full disclosure: I work for NomaDesk, which offers small business users (or nomadic professionals, as we like to call ourselves) an innovative way to share documents and work together on a “virtual fileserver.” I read this post on Dropbox with great interest, and just wanted to add our product to the discussion.
I’d really appreciate your review of http://www.nomadesk.com.
Thanks!
