I found a way to delete Uniblue.

Restart the computer using a different user.
Go to c:program files & find it and delete it.
Log off the other user & log back into your own account.

Many thanks to PuterTime – I have not purchased Uniblue's SpeedUpMyPC, but inadvisedly downloaded their 'sampler'. Having decided not to take-up their offer to 'register' I then removed their programs – or so I thought! Every time I power-up my laptop up comes the infuriating Uniblue start-up process wasting my time and slowing down the start – some SpeedUp help!

Any clues how to rid my machine of this pestilence? I can find no trace of the program anywhere, yet up it pops every time. I repeat any suggestions to a non IT expert would be gratefully received.

I found the three suggestions in the body of the article very helpful. I did two of them….my computer is responding considerably faster. The step by step directions in the body of text walked me right through it.

If I could get some help in removing all the unnecessary SERVICES….I think I'd be good to go. Whatever you name is who wrote this article…thanks for your clear cut directions!
