If you have ever wished you could copy text from a webpage and the URL for the webpage at the same time, then you need to install the Copy as HTML Link extension in Firefox.
Copying a quote from a webpage along with the link usually requires many steps and a lot of going back and forth between tabs or programs to complete the task.
To install the extension, go to https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2617 and click on the Add to Firefox button on the webpage.
The Software Installation dialog box displays. Click the Install Now button after the short countdown on it is completed.
Once the extension is installed the Add-ons dialog box displays asking you to restart Firefox to complete the installation.
Click the Restart Firefox button. Firefox attempts to preserve the tabs you had open and reopen them when Firefox reopens.
Highlight some text on a webpage that you want to copy with the URL of the webpage.
Right-click on the highlighted text and select Copy as HTML Link from the pop-up menu. Now you’re ready to paste the complete link wherever you need to. For this example, we pasted the copied link into Notepad.
You can also right-click on any link on a webpage and copy the link text and the link destination as an HTML link.
This extension can save you a lot of time when posting links.

Thanks for mentioning this Firefox add-on. I have to copy links from sites for my job and I always go to View Source and then copy the HTML version of the link. This is so much easier!
Is there an add-on that will let me copy any part of a web page and get the source code instead of just the outputted text?
