MySQL was installed as a part of SugarCRM Community edition. I'm sure I did something wrong because I was trying to adopt your instructions for Sugar. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Here is the content of my init file: "UPDATE mysql.user SET Password=PASSWORD('axion#1') WHERE User='sugarcrm';
FLUSH PRIVILEGES;" (I also tried changing the user to "root"
and here is the command that I executed. It executed without any issues which makes me think that mysql under sugar is looking for a different username
"mysqld.exe --defalts-file ="c:program filessugarcrm-5.2.0cmysqlmy.ini" --init-file=c:mysql-init.txt

I followed your instructions but when I try to restart the service I get an error 1067.
