To successfully establish a wireless connection from your Latitude D430 you need to make sure that the wireless card is on, you should have a small button on the right hand corner close to the Power button to turn it on. Check the image below.
After you have made sure the wireless is on, go to Start>All Programs, and click on “Intel PROset Wireless” When the Intel PROset wirless utility opens up, you should be able to see the current wireless Networks on your range, if you don’t see any active wireless network, click on the “refresh button”
Once you have identified the wireless network you want to connect to, select it and click “Connect” if it’s a secure wireless, it will prompt you to enter the password and click OK. Otherwise it should connect as soon as you hit connect button.
