how many times have happened at your work that a mac user shows up at the IT department whining about how windows sucks and they want to use their personal computer for work? and of course that computer is a mac. this mostly happen with interns and temps, I just give them a plain NO. one of the policies we have is to not hook up any system without an anti virus to our network, is fair policy right? and when you check their Macs and ask them if it has an anti-virus, they will get into the argument that Macs don’t get viruses, blah blah blah.
but what happen when a bigwig that has been spelled with an apple mac wants to use it to work from home or while traveling? well, kiss ass and install remote desktop client for mac on her computer. in that case she will still use her mac but use terminal services to work on the network.
