One of the cool features in the new iPhone 3G is the option to setup exchange e-mail accounts to be able to get e-mails, calendar, and contacts directly from an exchange server. And as you probably guessed, there are a lot of business people that will get the iPhone for corporate use. Luckily, setting exchange server on the Iphone is very simple and straightforward.

Out of the box, when you turn on the Iphone and click on the Mail button on the home page, you get the selections of what mail you want to setup:

Exchange is the first option that comes up on the list, click on it to continue.

After clicking the exchange button you will need to enter you exchange account information, and even though it does not ask you for an exchange server URL at first, you should get ready to enter it because after attempting to connect to the exchange server with your e-mail, username and password, it will ask for an exchange server URL.

Remember to enter your e-mail address correctly, and your username as Domain\user that is using the backslash. I had a hard time making the backslash between the domain and username, but after playing with it for awhile I found out that it can be done by Tapping first on 123 key, then on the #+= key to rotate the symbols, and you’ll see the backslash 2nd row from the top, 2nd one in from the left.

After the Iphone connect to exchange it ask you what folders you want to synch:

Select your folders accordingly and click next. After entering the information mentioned above, the iPhone should start synchronizing.
