I think one of the quests in Helpdesk is to find simple easy to use software to support users, we as techies have the responsibility to respond to user’s problems as quick as possible without creating more problems to the users in the process. One of the hardest things I find working in tech support is guiding the user to fix certain problem, I usually use my laptop to guide users how to do it, but most of the time I get no where, leaving the user pissed and unable to work on his computer until he returns to the office, and I really think the user shouldn’t be responsible for computer troubleshooting; we get paid to do that.
I personally use many remote sharing desktop software to support my users, like, www.showmypc.com which is really simple to use, www.skyfex.com, www.logmein.com etc. but I find CrossLoop better than these software when it comes to simplicity for users to use. So how CrossLoop works? Watch this video from the developer to see how this software works;
