I'm an old-timer who gets very frustrated about the way Word has been dumbed-down for people without imagination and attention to detail. I had the best toolbar in the world, with links to my own macros (now too difficult and incomprehensible to even attempt) and commands. The macros were easily recognized by the icons I was able to attach to them. The first time I had to use Word 2007, it took me about four times as long to do a simple letter. Heartbreaking. I really don't think it's a matter of an old dog not learning new tricks. I've been able to adapt to everything else. But what Microsoft did to Word is unforgivable.

I read through 12 links before I found yours, which actually addressed the question I Googled — customizing the quick access tool bar.
