So for all of those who read Help Desk Geek, you probably have noticed that most of my articles are over 500 words and include lots of images. I’ve always found that this way of writing helps beginners understand tech stuff more easily.
But there are also many occasions where a full article is not needed. Up until now, I’ve just skipped those tips or kept them to myself.
So for those of you who prefer short posts with links or quick tips pointing you other great content on the Net, I have created a new website.
WindowsBytes is a super minimalist blog designed to get bring you the best links, tips, and other random tech stuff from the Internet in an easily digestible manner.
Most posts on WindowsBytes are very short, just a paragraph long, and end with a link to another site where you can learn more about that topic.
Also, WindowsBytes will be updated more frequently than Help Desk Geek since the posts are very short.
So head over to WindowsBytes and subscribe to the RSS feed and see how you like it.
Here are some examples of posts that I’ve written for WindowsBytes.
Find all instances of an image using TinEye
How to customize the Windows 7 Logon Screen
Give your taskbar a facelift using Taskbar Texturizer
And there are lots more tiny “bytes” of tech like this on WindowsBytes. There’s something for everyone and you don’t have to spend a lot of time going through long posts.
If you have any suggestions or comments, feel free to share your thoughts in the comments! Enjoy the new site!
