I have a brand new hard drive I'm trying to load Vista on and I keep getting a BOOTMGR Missing Error. Why would this be the case?

hi i have a problem, when i install a new operating system and restart it, i keep getting 'bootmgr is missing' i have used windows 7, vista and xp .. PLZZZZ HELP

My hard drive went out so I replaced it. Now when I try to install windows I get Bootmgr is missing. What can I do now? Repairing windows is not an option since the drive has nothing on it. I replaced the hard drive with the exact same model as the last. I have an HP Pavilion 9700 series

The bootmrg is misssing on my computer I tried tapping the f11 key and this meanu thing came up they tell me to choice one and press enter so did and it went back to the same thing

hi i tried installing the recovery cd that i download from the internet the problem is that when it loads up i cant seem to find the operating system of my drive, i tried to load driver but i dont to know what to load. please help how do i get around this.
