Comments on: Fix “Bootmgr is missing” in Windows Vista

What if my operating system is completely missing? I tried installing the recovery cd that I got from Toshiba which is to disk but it keep asking for a thrid disk. I still get the same Error (BOOTMGR is missing). I also get this Error when trying to use recovey disk (Cannot read from the source file or disk, PReinst.SWM) Type:SWM File S:643MB Date Modified 10/3/2008 6:57 PM (The boot selection failed beacuse a required device is inaccessible). Please help if you can, thank you.

I have a brand new hard drive I'm trying to load Vista on and I keep getting a BOOTMGR Missing Error. Why would this be the case?

hi i have a problem, when i install a new operating system and restart it, i keep getting 'bootmgr is missing' i have used windows 7, vista and xp .. PLZZZZ HELP

My hard drive went out so I replaced it. Now when I try to install windows I get Bootmgr is missing. What can I do now? Repairing windows is not an option since the drive has nothing on it. I replaced the hard drive with the exact same model as the last. I have an HP Pavilion 9700 series

The bootmrg is misssing on my computer I tried tapping the f11 key and this meanu thing came up they tell me to choice one and press enter so did and it went back to the same thing
