In my case I have MsSE yet this subprogram &quot;msmpeng.exe&quot; was running at a time I had not scheduled a scan. As it turns out, the uninstall of Windows Defender must have been incomplete, and this was the result. I have had scheduled scans take in excess of 12 hours and this is not acceptable to me. I think it might take less time to reinstall the operating system each day and just keep all my data files in the cloud similar to what chrome book does and thus make anti-malware programs unnecessary for my computer, freeing up 100% of my processor for use by me. </description> <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Timeless advice, still helping people (me) years after being published!
