Have you experienced slow down in Windows XP after using a certain program? After closing the program, some DLLs could still remain in the memory caused by caching or a bug in the main program (i.e. memory leak). If those DLLs are significantly eating up your RAM, most likely you will experience a slow down.
You can use a simple registry trick to have XP automatically remove from memory DLLs that are no longer needed by programs. Run the Registry Editor by running regedit in the Run panel:
Go to the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer.
Create a new DWORD value named AlwaysUnloadDll, and give it a data value of 1. Exit the registry and restart you computer for the new setting to take effect.
Note that this setting might cause problems with some programs. Some Windows programs especially older and 16-bit programs can issue error messages with this setting in effect; so if that starts happening, delete the new key or give it a value of 0.

You realise this doesn't work form Windows 2000 and more right?
You do realize this is under WINDOWS XP right?
And do you two realize that the title includes the phrase "WINDOWS XP"???
