How to Delete Videos on TikTok

Found old videos that you don’t need on your TikTok account? Follow this step-by-step guide to get rid of them once and for all. The instructions are similar for Android, iOS, Windows, and macOS users.

1. Open the TikTok app on your device.
2. On mobile, in the bottom-right corner of the screen, select Profile to open your TikTok profile. On desktop, in the top right corner, select your profile icon > View profile to open your profile page.

3. On your page, you’ll see an entire list of videos you published on TikTok.

4. Select the video you want to delete to open it in full-screen mode.
5. Select the three dots icon to open the Menu (on mobile, in the lower-right corner; on desktop, in the upper-right corner).

6. Select the Delete option (on mobile, swipe left through the options to find the trashcan icon with the Delete button underneath).

7. In the pop-up window, select Delete to confirm.

If your TikTok settings allow other TikTok users to download your videos, your deleted TikTok video might resurface on the platform. How to Delete Draft Videos on TikTok

To delete your Draft videos, follow the steps below.

1. Open TikTok on your smartphone.
2. From the homepage, select Profile in the bottom-right corner.
3. On your profile page, you’ll see Drafts saved in a separate folder in the top left corner of your TikTok feed.

4. Select the Drafts folder to open the list of your drafts.
5. On the Drafts screen, choose Select in the upper-right corner. Then manually select all the drafts that you want to delete.

6. Tap Delete to remove the drafts.

How to Make TikTok Videos Private

If you simply don’t want anyone else to see your videos, you don’t have to delete them from TikTok. Instead, you can make your video private so nobody can access it except yourself. This option isn’t available on the TikTok desktop app, so you’ll have to use your smartphone app to do it.

3. From the options, select the padlock icon to open Privacy settings.

4. Under Who can watch this video, you’ll see three options: Everyone, Friends (followers you follow back), and Only me.

5. Select Only me to make your video private.
