ServusTV (owned by Red Bull) is an official broadcast partner for the tournament. The streaming service will provide live coverage of the 2022 French Open for Austrian residents.

RDS (Réseau des sports (RDS) and The Sports Network (TSN) are official Roland Garros broadcasters for Canadian viewers.

We highlight some streaming services that support these broadcasting networks.

    ServusTV

We should mention that the ServusTV app is in German, and there’s no option to translate to other languages. So you may find it challenging to navigate the app and its content. Additionally, you’ll need a Virtual Private Network (VPN) to access ServusTV content outside Austria.

    9Now

You can watch the French Open on 9Now’s “Wide World of Sport (WWOS)” channel if you’re in Australia. Download the 9Now app on your device, create a Nine account, and watch all French Open games for free. 9Now works on Apple TV, smartphones, Android TV, and Smart TV (LG and Samsung) models.

    Amazon Prime Video

Prime Video will cover the qualifying rounds, semifinals, and finals of Men’s and Women’s French Open games. You need an Amazon Prime or Prime Video subscription, the Prime Video app, and a compatible streaming device. You can live stream matches on a web browser if your device doesn’t support the Prime Video app.

If you’re subscribed to Prime Video, you can watch French Open games at no additional charges or fees. Otherwise, you’ll need to pay a subscription fee (€5.99/month or €49/year) after a 7-day trial.

Amazon Prime members in Monaco and Metropolitan France can watch French Open online via Prime Video at no additional cost. Both Amazon Prime and Amazon Prime Video have similar subscription fees (€5.99/month or €49/year). However, Prime members enjoy an extended trial period (30 days) than Prime Video users (7 days).

We recommend registering on Amazon Prime, so you get to watch French Open for free during the 30-day free trial.

    Tennis Channel

A Tennis Channel Plus subscription gets you access to thousands of live and on-demand tennis matches across multiple tournaments. The Tennis Channel app is available for smartphones, smart TVs, and streaming devices (Roku, Apple TV, Fire TV, etc.). You can also stream the 2022 French Open on any web browser via the Tennis Channel website.

Tennis Channel Plus costs $109.99/year and is only available in the United States and all U.S. territories. As a subscriber, you can live stream all tennis tournaments (e.g., U.S. Open) until your plan expires.

Unless you’re a tennis fanatic, buying an annual subscription only to watch the 2022 French Open isn’t economical.

    Peacock TV

With a Peacock Premium subscription ($4.99/month), you can watch the French Open online on NBC. Another $9.99/month “Premium Plus” subscription plan offers similar channels but without ads or mid-game interruptions. Peacock TV supports many mobile devices (Android, iOS, Fire Tablets), smart TVs, and streaming devices (Android TV, Chromecast, etc.).

You need to pay an extra $13/month in addition to a Sling Orange or Sling Blue subscription to access Tennis Channel. That’s $48/month—$30.5/month for new users.

Sling TV is geo-blocked in regions outside the United States. In addition, the streaming service is available on select models of streaming devices and smart TVs. Refer to this Sling TV Help Center document for a comprehensive list of supported devices.

    DIRECTV Stream

Formerly AT&T TV, DIRECTV offers three subscription plans (Choice, Ultimate, and Premier) that include the Tennis Channel. DirecTV Choice costs $79.99/month and has over 90 channels. The “Ultimate” plan with 130+ channels is $94.99/month, while the high-end Premier subscription is $139.99.

The $19.99 subscription allows you to watch the 2022 French Open on TSN and RDS. Plus, you can stream content on two devices simultaneously with one subscription. The TSN and RDS apps are available on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

    Don’t Miss the Action.

FuboTV and Hulu Live TV ( $69.99/month) are other noteworthy streaming services. They offer the NBC Sports channel and are available in the U.S. only.

Note that accessing geo-blocked content using a VPN service may be prohibited by some streaming apps. Go through a platform’s terms of service and make sure you aren’t breaking any rules.
